Pictorial guide to the flora of the British Isles
Allium schoenoprasum is widely grown in kitchen gardens, but also occurs as a native plant in a few areas, including the Lizard Peninsula (VC1: West Cornwall & Scillies), the upper Wye valley (VC42: Brecknockshire) and along the Whin Sill (VC67: South Northumberland).

Allium schoenoprasum has tubular leaves and flowers with stamens shorter than the tepals, where the filaments lack the lateral points seen in Allium sphaerocephalon and Allium vineale.
