Pictorial guide to the flora of the British Isles
The population of Orchis simia in the British Isles has dwindled to one population near Goring-on-Thames (VC23: Oxfordshire) and one near Faversham (VC15: East Kent), with another artificially established south of Canterbury (VC15: East Kent).

The flowers of Orchis simia have narrow distal labellum-lobes and a pale ‘helmet’ formed by the 5 other tepals.
