Physospermum cornubiense is a rare herb of scrub in eastern Cornwall (and some adjacent parts of South Devon).

The leaves of Physospermum cornubiense are mostly basal, and divided twice into elliptic segments.

When the petals have dropped, the persistent sepals are more obvious; the whole fruit becomes inflated, giving the plants its English name.
