Pinus nigra subsp. laricio is a tall conifer native to Corsica, Sicily and parts of mainland Italy; it has shorter side-branches and so a narrower crown than Pinus nigra subsp. nigra.

 Corsican pine / Pinus nigra subsp. laricio: _Pinus nigra_ subsp. _laricio_ is a tall conifer native to Corsica, Sicily and parts of mainland Italy; it has shorter side-branches and so a narrower crown than _Pinus nigra_ subsp. _nigra_.

The leaves of Pinus nigra subsp. laricio are up to 18 cm long, longer and less stiff than those of Pinus nigra subsp. nigra.
