Cicerbita macrophylla is native to the Ural and Caucasus mountains, but naturalised at sites across the British Isles.

 common blue sow-thistle / Cicerbita macrophylla: _Cicerbita macrophylla_ is native to the Ural and Caucasus mountains, but naturalised at sites across the British Isles.

Cicerbita macrophylla resembles Cicerbita alpina in having glandular hairs on its peduncles, but differs in having hairs along the veins on the undersides of its leaves.
