Orobanche caryophyllacea grows in East Kent as a parasite on Galium album; abroad, other species such as Galium verum (pictured) can be the host.

Orobanche caryophyllacea looks similar to Orobanche alba, but smells of cloves, and has calyx lobes shorter than the corolla-tube, often with 2 teeth each rather than just 1.
