Pictorial guide to the flora of the British Isles
Lamium confertum is at first glance very similar to Lamium purpureum and grows in similar disturbed habitats, mostly along the coast of Scotland, County Down and the Isle of Man, and at scattered sites elsewhere.

Lamium confertum has larger flowers than Lamium purpureum and particularly long calyx-teeth; its upper leaves are sessile or shortly petiolate and shorter in proportion than those of L. purpureum.
