Impatiens noli-tangere is our only native balsam, found naturally in the Lake District, southern Snowdonia and a small area of the Welsh Marches.

The large, suplhur-yellow flowers of Impatiens noli-tangere separate it from Impatiens glandulifera (pink), Impatiens capensis (orange speckled) and Impatiens parviflora (small, pale yellow).
