Arenaria norvegica subsp. anglica is endemic to limestone pavements in upper Ribblesdale, where it grows in some of the barest areas; its leaves are sessile and slightly succulent.

 English sandwort / Arenaria norvegica subsp. anglica: _Arenaria norvegica_ subsp. _anglica_ is endemic to limestone pavements in upper Ribblesdale, where it grows in some of the barest areas; its leaves are sessile and slightly succulent.

The flowers of Arenaria norvegica subsp. anglica have 5 hairless sepals, 5 longer petals, 10 stamens and 3 styles; the fruiting capsules open by 6 apical teeth.
